I made this set for halloween, it's a superb display.Horsey still lives with me...and I can make you something similar on request though for your own toy horse.

Santa/horseman is SOLD now.

All the garments for the horseman are handmade.  He is a fully armatured figure with handmade paper mache head and porcelain boots. I painted over them with matte black paint and gave them a suede trim.

The horse is from Germany and I believe he is from the 1960's. When he arrived at my home his leg was snapped in two ( FROM TERRRIBLY POOR PACKAGING )  but I gave him tons of love and care, mended it, and supported it with a bandage...and I brought him back to life. I will make myself another Santa / headless horseman to replace him one day.

I made the leather halter to go over the existing plastic one that came with the horse.

 See his missing hooves and his broken leg on the photos below....I built up the new ones with paper mache clay after reinforcing his legs. Next I painted them to look aged like his others.
