THIS IS A PHOTO OF SUE'S SANTAThis is showing the damage before she sent him to me...note the head is broken off. He has a round wood base that got damaged and split....I sent him back with a new head so he could be displayed in 2010...and here is Sue's letter or recommendation;"I've had this precious Santa that I cherished dearly since 2001. Some Christmases I don't even display him because of fear he may break somehow. Sure enough this Christmas 2009 my husband knocked him over and Santa fell over and broke. I was just beside myself. I surfed the internet for hours on similar Santas and I knew that was impossible because he was surely one of a kind. Then I googled Santa doll makers and the rest is history!!! I saw Angie's website and her magnificent creations for the Biltmore and I emailed her asking this angel if there is any way she may put him back together. Sure enough after many email exchanges Santa was on his way for a makeover! My Santa looks even better than the original. He is a bit wobbly from the fall but Angie will get him back in the near future to give him a new body. The fall really did a number on his dowel rod base and Angie reassured me that she can make a new body for him. Not only did I get my Santa back, but in the process I have made a life long friend. I feel like I've known Angie all my life. She is a talented, gracious, generous spirit who brings so much joy to others through her creations in loving memory of her wonderful dad. I am blessed to call Angie my friend!! Words cannot express how grateful I am to you Angie for putting my precious Santa back together! God Bless you, my friend!
Sue is precious, and delighted now I have finished her Santa....see the new base I made, it is super firmly fixed as he is glued and screwed tight into it.It was a vintage candle stick....I painted to match his robe and I varnished it for a lovely finish....he is lovely now, here's to 2011!
