This one is made from the same quilt SEE BELOW....It sold on Ebay too...
Gretchen won this Santa above and he is adored... "Beautiful Santa! pride in workmanship very evident-super packing!! Thank you"! from buyers name "barn_pilot" on ebay blessed I am indeed by her appreciation. This is my 1st EVER QUILT fabric Santa, he was made for ELLEN in Maryland. He's trimmed in vintage rabbit fur. He is made with Ellen's requests of this fur trim design, blue eyes and long mohair beard. The doggie for posing on his arm.Bless her! Before Ellen recieved this santa she sent me these comments on his photos: OMG..I love him. I like Santa holding the dog…that is the BEST. I love all the little toys. You are a genius!!! Please send him…I am completely in love!!! Have a great day. Ellen
Ellen also ordered a smaller version of the gardening Santa "Nana claus". It is about 15 inches high with a shaggy lambskin collar instead.
I made him as per Ellen's request...as a kitchen theme Santa...but still a Santa (Nana Claus 2)...with cup cake and ginger bread men decorated tree ....some wonderful meat hammers, chopping block, rolling pin, grater etc etc...and made a huge toy sack too..sorry about the picture quality...I was rushing him out...Ellen might send me a better picture later on.
Little note from Ellen (Monday 14th march) came today....
Hi Angie, Nana Claus (2) arrived safely on Saturday..he is so cute!! Thanks so much for making him with such love and care!!!
Have a great day and it looks like Spring is almost here!!! Ellen xoxox
Ellen's a lovely lady. Her Christmas card came with her beautiful daughters on it with a lovely note inside...some partial quotes:"Angie thanks again for all your hard work on the santa, they are works of art, I love them.
"Nana Claus" (1)
This Santa was ordered by Ellen too.. It was made as a very special present this Christmas... A lovely keepsake for Rosa, her Sister-in-law...for she recently lost her beloved Mom. So this Santa wears her Mom's quilted jacket, it's converted into this lovely coat with lambskin to finish...I sewed this with extra special care. With a requested theme based on things she loved to do like to garden, and cook, she asked me to make something with that in mind...so I made this set up for her. God bless Rosa, I know she loves him....He has a bird house with a cardinal, my hand painted wheel barrow, lots of winter flowers, a small bucket, my hand painted wellies, a rusty watering can, and a toy sack. He is truly beautiful...Ellen was so thrilled too..he is precious.Rosemary loved him so much she bid on my santa in a ford car, and won him...and my little santa with the mail coach and horses.
