I went to pick up this adorable Santa in person, from my favorite Santa crafter Norma DeCamp.Norma lived near Asheville where my beautiful dolls sell at The Biltmore Estate. Norma is a precious elf, a sweetheart, and a great inspiration to me.
The santa above in teal is one i've made wth a head from Norma. The purple one is as seen with Norma above. I added the doggie, the squirrel and the reindeer for props but I swap my displays about all the time.
Santa above came with a paper mache boot but today he is riding a moose...see some on my "Moose" page...he is gorgeous.Below is a German fox and Norma's candy container Santa. I made his mink collar to keep the chills away. This one below left is made with Dresden decorations...he can also be made into a Santa doll.
I have 2 of these cream hat Santas hanging off my tree. I 've also got 4 heads of the same face saved in a box. I 'm saving them for a day when I can make more for myself perhaps?
This is a fantastic set.....see my real fur bear...very old and very expensive. He looks great with this copy of an antique German santa she created. I made the children.
This Santa is Norma's seen below with the Mrs Claus I made from her "NAST" mold. The jack in the box is created by Norma.I made the dog in Santa's arms. Norma said that Mrs C looks like she is having the time of her life. I agree. I just love it. The Santa on the right is also a candy container. I sold the horse toy...but I have more.I also won this amazing diorama...It's all handmade and then painted by Norma. For extras there are my snowy bottle brush trees on either side and a small fox....INSIDE.... I added the lights see them LIT inside on the Chrismas tree..I wish I had won the other dioramas she made last year, as the details are superb...i'm always in awe.No-one can do it like Norma!!!Here are some BIG Santa heads.....When they' re fixed to a body the dolls will be about 20 -30 inches high.I will make them up one day...when I ever get time.
